RESIDENT CAMP FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS 

I have a few Questions about Cub Scout and Webelos Resident Camp!

Who can attend this event?
All Wolves, Bears and Webelos can attend this event. If you graduate into the second grade in the year of 2008 or advance from a tiger to a Wolf in 2008, you are eligible to attend.

What are the ratios of leadership for this event?
Ratios for resident camping programs are set by the local council. The ratio for 2008 Cub and Webelos Resident Camp shall be 1 to 3 for Cub Scouts and 1 to 5 for Webelos. One leader for every three Cub Scouts and one Leader for every five Webelos will be required.

What are the costs for Kids and Leaders?
The total Leader Fee is $65 per leader. If your pack brings a minimum of 5 boys, two leaders may attend at no cost. The youth fee is $110 per youth. The fee schedule is as follows:

Before March 1 2008: $25 per Scout wishing to attend.
By May 15, 2008: $45 per Scout payment due
$40 due at Check-in at summer camp

What advancements do the kids accomplish?
Wolves and Bears will work on Achievements while Webelos work on Activity Badges. A list of all requirements to be completed and the Webelos Activity Badges are located in the Leaders Guide.

Which Medical Form do I need?
All participants in the state of Arkansas are required to have a Class III physical. These physicals are available on this website under forms and applications.

Can swim checks be completed before camp?
We encourage Troops and Venture Crews that incorporate aquatics into their regular program to complete swim checks prior to camp. The swim checks must be performed by a certified Lifeguard. Swim Check requirements can be located in the Guide to Safe Scouting.

What is the theme for Resident Camp?
The Resident Camp Theme is "Knights of Kia Kima". This will be reflected in our memorabilia and at all stage shows. You may want to bring items to camp related to this theme. This will only enhance your experience
